Nine inches on a half-inch handle, with an amethyst point at the flame. Amethyst owes its violet to traces of iron in the quartz acted on by natural radiation — the same crystal, heated, becomes citrine. Tom made two swords at this size. They are not identical; nothing he makes is.

What is in the handle

Every sword Tom makes is built the same way: over four hundred crushed power crystals, seven meteorites, sacred volcanic material, waters gathered from Kailash to Antarctica, eighteen star elixirs and seven planetary elixirs — bound in selenite and sealed inside the handle. Once it is wrapped, none of it is visible again. More about how they are made.

Before you buy. Selenite is water-soluble and soft — softer than a fingernail in places. It does not want damp cloths, direct sun or a hot car. Please read care and handling first; it takes two minutes and it is the difference between a piece that lasts and one that does not.
